Gifts in Kind

Support comes in many forms and Gifts in Kind are a fantastic way for you or your company to directly support our work. Below are some of the items that The Kindu Trust would welcome to support our work:

Sturdy Suitcases

Our team travels to Ethiopia at least once a year and we take as much baggage as we are allowed to bringing including materials for Kindu Trust Ethiopia. We take resources for the Kindu Klub, office items, donated clothes and, of course, Galaxy Minstrels for the Sponsorship Manager. When volunteers go over we often enlist them to take over a suitcase for us. This means that our suitcases do a lot of airmiles and we are always in need of big, sturdy suitcases. If you have any sitting in your loft we would be very grateful to receive them!

Jewellery Display Stands

il_570xN.371804718_lrbyLast year 20% of the Kindu Shop‘s income came from sales in the UK. All of this money went directly to supporting the women artists employed by the project and the materials needed for their shop. This year we have a plan to attend even more fairs and raise even more funds for the Kindu Shop ladies. Having well displayed materials can really help present their beautiful products in the best light and boost sales. At the moment, we’re using mug trees! So we would really appreciate any of the following free-standing displays to show off their work best! Necklace or bracelet display in a range of sizes, click here.

Glossy Paper

MagazinesThe women who make jewellery for the Kindu Trust shop in Ethiopia run on glossy magazines! All our incredible jewellery is made from rolled up sheets of thick magazines and to ensure maximum environmental friendliness we make sure it is all recycled paper. We take out as many magazines as weight limits allow when UK office staff or volunteers visit Ethiopia. All paper must be coloured and above 300 gsm (usually the thickness of expensive magazine covers). Flyers, leaflets and well made brochures are the most appropriate thickness for making beads.

Items can be dropped off at our London office or posted to The Kindu Trust, 225-229 Seven Sisters Road, London, N4 2DW! Please contact us if you have any questions.
