The Kindu Trust is a small Ethiopian sponsorship organisation that has been working for over 15 years to improve the futures of children in Ethiopia. 

Our Child Sponsorship programme exists to create an environment which improves the well being of disadvantaged children and enables them to go to school and improve their opportunities for the future. We provide uniforms and school materials for the child and access to healthcare for the whole household as well as direct funding for essentials like rent, food and water – the basics that mean a child can be healthy and go to school, instead of work to provide income for the family.

Our approach is local, personal and grounded in the needs of the community which has led us to initiate many varied community programmes as well, to help the children and their families enjoy a better life and look towards a better future. Our community programmes include the Kindu Klub and Playgroup after-school groups, sanitation and biogas projects and income generating activites; so you can be sure your donation goes where it is truly needed!
